Who We Are

Tracey O’Connor - Founder & Director.

Registered Landscape Architect AILA (Australian Institute of Landscape Architects)

Tracey has experience working across a range of project types and scales. She has worked for large design practices, government and taught design to university students. Her range is broad, working in the areas of landscape architecture + urban design + land management + place strategy + project management.

Tracey is interested in the human experience and works to understand the crux of the project requirements, issues and aspirations, resulting in a truly collaborative process. This process of co-creation, along with her experience in design, strategy and environmental stewardship, mean that project outcomes truly change the way people connect with their landscapes. Creating design and strategy that helps people, place and nature thrive.

Tracey has a curious mind and is endlessly inspired by nature and culture. While her work is anchored in the local context, she draws on cultural and aesthetic influences from around the world to create distinct landscapes, be it via design, strategy or a combination of the two.

As co-founder of the SorrentoHUB Coworkspace and an avid collaborator, Tracey can draw on her network to resource a range of project types and scales. We work mostly on the Mornington Peninsula but often go urban and rural to expand our horizons.

We live by the values CREATIVE + EFFICIENT + CONNECTED + GOODNESS

What we do

The places we create, through design & strategy are more liveable & loveable

We listen and are led by our clients. We’ll take what we learn from listening, our understanding of the site and surrounding context, and then add our expertise to create a landscape that reflects the character of its people and place. The depth and breadth of our experienced and collaborative approach mean that we can create a cohesive project vision that delivers creative and practical solutions efficiently.

Our design & strategy solutions are the sum of many parts

We’ve reimagined the design and strategy process based on what we’ve learnt from our clients over time. Our services are offered as a series of modules to provide choice and flexibility. By using a modular services approach, we work in a focussed and efficient way to save time and keep costs down. We focus on what we do best (design & strategy) and collaborate with other designers, architects, built-form and environmental experts, to offer a full range of services.
